Jordan West, the founder of the Princess for a Day Movement, is using her 10th birthday to host her 7th “Princess Party” for young girls facing homelessness. Jordan hosts Princess Parties all over the country for girls in need and, with the help of her mom, has identified a group of girls from New York-based Girl Scout Troop 6000TM to participate in the event on November 2, 2019. This Girl Scout Troop is specifically for girls in the New York City Shelter System.

In lieu of having a big birthday bash with her friends for her 10th birthday, this native New Yorker is celebrating the day by treating these NYC girls like princesses. For this event, Jordan is literally rolling out the pink carpet! The girls will be getting their hair, nails, and makeup done, and then participating in a special photo shoot, a fun shopping trip, and a lively luncheon.

To raise money for this memorable day, Jordan has been selling copies of her book, Princess for a Day, and has enlisted the help of her mom, family, friends, and her cousin Leah – who just so happens to be a girl scout in Rochester, NY! Classic Beauty Studio in Brooklyn is stepping up and sponsoring the salon experience for all the girls and Stella 34 Trattoria is sponsoring the luncheon for the girls.

Jordan West and her Princess Parties have been featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (Ellen), ABC NewsEssenceHarry (hosted by Harry Connick Jr.), and Education Post.
